The 355 is the perfect jazz fusion guitar, used by my favorites Larry Carlton and Lee Ritenour. It's got a mellower sound than solid bodys, but a harder sound than big boxes like the L5. It's also got a double cutaway with lots of frets up high. Very playable. I have a 64 and a 67. This is the 64.

The Gibson 355 was like the 335. The main difference is a brace running from the neck through the tailpiece making it very strong, a bit heavier, and better sustain. No wonder my idols Chuck Berry and Larry Carlton used the 355.
